AMINO ACID PRODUCTS

AMINO ACIDS are the building blocks of protein. When protein is ingested, the body digests it into its various amino acids, then rebuilds them into its own proteins which are needed for the growth and repair of body cells, tissues, and organs. There are twenty-three amino acids, twenty of which are necessary for the production of protein. Of these twenty, eight are essential amino acids, which means that they cannot be produced by the human body and must be taken in as food or as a supplement.
